PAKISTAN 2020. ICHESS Wins Contract to Support the Pakistani Ministry of National Health Services.
On April 14th, 2020, ICHESS has finalized won the contract to support the Pakistani Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination with the development of an investment case for the implementation of the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Benefit Package.
Pakistan is the first country in the world to develop its UHC Benefit Package from the recommendations of the nine volumes of the World Bank Disease Control Priorities 3rd edition of 2017. The nation has outlined the details of the plan, and established three workstreams to support the situation analysis overseen by the health experts of WHO, with the development of an investment case through UNICEF and the resource mapping through the World Bank.
ICHESS has partnered with the Health Services Academy (HSA), a local academic institution specialized in public research and capacity development to support the development of the UHC Benefit Package on behalf of UNICEF.
